This article out of Amarillo TX, shares how horses are helping families recover from domestic violence.
In our work we often see children and teens living in foster care or adopted out of the foster care system. It is not hard to imagine the things these kids have witnessed and survived. They have been neglected and abused and witnessed things that may never leave them.
Horses offer unconditional acceptance. They help our clients find confidence in themselves and the decisions they make. They offer a positive experience to hold onto when things may be going badly. They help our clients learn to be present and in the moment.
We would love to share more about our program with you. If you or someone you know is dealing with the results of traumatic life events, give us a call or send us an email. We will schedule a visit for you to come out, see the ranch, meet the horses, share more about the challenges you are dealing with and to learn more about how we may be able to help.
