I found this interview about OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) very interesting

In this interview, with an adult who suffered from OCD as a child, we learn of her personal experiences as a child who “worried about being worried”. I think she gives parents some real insights as to what their children may be going through and some good advice as well.

In our work with those dealing with OCD we slowly desensitize them to a variety of situation and help them to set aside interfering behaviors. Wanting to work with the horses is an incredible motivation and their sense of pride and accomplishment when they are able to groom, lead and even ride is powerful.

OCD is just one of many mental health issues that we address. We are a Medicaid mental health provider for Psycho-Social Rehabilitation and work with a wide range of conditions from depression to oppositional defiant disorder. We would be happy to have you visit, take a tour of the ranch, meet our wonderful horses and share more with us about what the issues are that you are dealing with – either personally or working with your child/teen – horses are a very effective way of promoting change, growth and learning. Call us today to schedule a visit.
