Invisible Challenges

Most people have met or interacted with at least one child on the autism spectrum. At the very least, you have seen movies or stories depicting people with autism. Based on these things you probably have a pretty good idea what someone with autism looks like.

As this Huffington Post story shows, the reality may be very different. Yes, girls can be on the spectrum, though it is not as common, and their behaviors may look different than those you are used to. But they still struggle.

Work with horses can be a very powerful intervention for boys and GIRLS dealing with autism. We work with children as young as 4, teens and even adults on the spectrum. We address issues such as increasing focus, decreasing impulsivity, empathy and awareness of others to name just a few.

If you know someone on the spectrum who is struggling, give us a call or send us an email. We will arrange a tour, introduce you to the horses, learn more about the challenges you are dealing with and share how we may be able to help.
