Typical Teen or Oppositional Defiant Disorder?

We have all dealt with teens that are cranky and resistant to anything an adult asks of them. However, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is different. This article outlines the differences in a very clear cut and helpful manner.

Equine Therapy can be a very powerful intervention in work with ODD. Horses will not respond well to the anger or hostility, nor accept the “blame game” (blaming others for problems) that is typical of those battling this issue. Teens will gain self control and developing coping & problem solving skills in their eagerness to bond with their horse.

We would love to share more with you about how we may be able to help. Call us to schedule a visit. We will show you around the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses and chat more about how our program works.
