The Story of the Benefits of Equine Therapy Continues…

We know that work with horses can be life changing. We see it everyday as we work with our clients. They are calmer, more focused, less anxious and more confident. They take time to consider the choices they make and are able to accept the consequences of those choices with more grace. They maintain good boundaries and are able to use levels of pressure to get what they need in an appropriate manner.

And the word is spreading! From more traditional ‘Therapeutic Riding’ programs that follow the PATH International guidelines, to ground work based programs that follow the EGALA model, there are programs all over the world that are helping people live richer, fuller, healthier and happier lives through work with horses.

This story of an Orville CA center, California Therapy Horses, doing such great warms my heart!

At Nevada Equine Assisted Therapy, we pull from lots of different approaches to create a unique program that promotes social, emotional and behavioral growth and learning as well as providing Psychosocial Rehabilitation, a mental health intervention, for children as young as 4, teens, adults and even seniors.
