I read this article in the Idaho Mountain Express with a heavy heart. We need to figure out what we are, or are not doing, that we are failing so many young people so completely.

Because of mental health issues, often brought frustrated teenon by parental neglect and abuse, many of the kids we work with are at risk. They are at risk of failing at school and in their personal relationships.  They are at risk of depression. They are at risk of addiction. They are at risk of ending up on the street or in jail. They are at risk of harming others or of harming themselves. We have found that work with horses can make a difference.
