What does it take to be a Therapy Horse?

As most of you know, we have had a lovely American Paint Horse named Ziggy on trial for the last 60+ days.

Though he is a very kind and friendly horse and everyone has enjoyed getting to know him, we have discovered that he really does not have the temperament or confidence to be a good Therapy horse.

Ziggy will be happiest when he finds one special owner who he can trust and bond with, allowing him to reach his full potential.

Though we will be sad to see him go, ultimately it will be best for him and for our program. We will be returning Ziggy to his previous herd in just a few weeks, so if you want to, stop by and wish him well.

We have begun the search for another potential herd member. There are lots of wonderful horses out there and we are sure that we will find one who will enjoy the work of being a Therapy horse and be the perfect addition to our herd.
