What our families have to say about Equine Therapy

I’m sharing this because I know there are those who still question the effectiveness of Equine Therapy for addressing social, emotional and behavioral problems.

We have been working with a young man. He’s 16 years old and faces a number of challenges.

When he came to the ranch he was immediately drawn to Ruby, “I saw her looking at me.”

We feel that he has done well and is blossoming under Ruby’s tender care, but more importantly, others see the growth and change as well.

The bold type is where I have directly quoted from the client and his mother:

J’s “Clinician explained to me that over time since J has been a client at State Treatment Agency they have not seen any improvement in therapeutic sessions, family learning home (residential), but have seen a tremendous improvement since J has started working at the equine therapy with you.”

She goes on to say….

“I must admit the few times I have brought J to work with Ruby its been an amazing transformation.  The last time I brought J I literally had tears in my eyes watching J and Ruby working together.  I’m sure you must hear other parents have similar stories.  Several thoughts came to mind about J’s progress that I have experienced. But I’m only going to share one in particular.  This is about J’s transformation of self-expression.  J had come from a calm private young man to a teenager of self-confidence, assertiveness, and more conscious of his attitudes towards himself and others.”

We see the results and so do the parents, caregivers, school and clinical staff working with our clients. We invite you to give us a call to schedule a visit. We will show you around the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses, learn more about the issues you are dealing with and share how we may be able to help. Call us today.
