When men struggle with eating disorders

job huntMost of us don’t picture men, let alone a popular football player, when we think of someone with an eating disorder.

Joey Julius is a very brave young man. He has come forward to admit that he struggles. He first shared this announcement on social media, and now it has hit the press. There is hope when there is knowledge. May he be an example for other men who are living with an eating disorder.

We are very proud of the work we do with the Center For Hope of the Sierras. Man with horse 4Twice a week we meet with a small group from the center and, through work with horses, work on improving communication, building self esteem, strengthening personal boundaries and being present and ‘in the moment’. From ground activities to riding, the horses help each participant learn valuable life lessons, such as ‘sometimes, when we get going too fast, we start to lose our balance’…
