This was a pretty insightful article about how challenging the holidays can be for those dealing with an eating disorder and how we may be able to reach out and help.
We are proud of the work we do with The Center For Hope of the Sierras. Once a week we meet with a group and, through work with horses, improve communication skills, strengthen personal boundaries and build self esteem (among other things!)
The group may participate in herd observation, leading and grooming activities,
do ground work and play games with the horses, or may actually do mounted work. Every week we mix it up and provide a unique opportunity to work with horses and learn about ourselves.
If you find thing more challenging than usual during the holidays, we encourage you to reach out and seek help, whether you deal with an eating disorder or other issues. We would be happy to show you around the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses and share more with you about how our program may be able to help. Call us today to schedule a visit.
