One of the fascinating things about autism is that what we know is constantly changing. Check out this article in Scientific American. Though the study quoted was small, the results of this reasearch may lead to all kinds of new ideas about autism and its treatment.
We have, and continue 
to work with many clients on the autsim spectrum, some of them as young as 4 years of age. We have seen wonderful growth and development with these clients from increased vocabulary/communication skills to an improved ability to follow directions and stay on task. Our clients work one-on-one with a 
Certified Therapeutic Equine Instructor and a horse. They learn to lead, groom and play games with the horse and ultimately how to ride. Our clients on the spectrum also enjoy increased self confidence and improved problem solving skills.
