Nice and simple basic description of Equine Therapy

I admit that when I tell people our program provides “equine therapy” they are often confused. Some may have never heard the word ‘equine’ or they wonder “You mean you provide therapy for horses?” For the more the more informed, they may think that we are providing “Hippotherapy” which is used in the treatment of those with physical challenges.

Even when I go on to explain that we provide social, emotional and behavioral interventions through work with horses, people are often baffled by how grooming or leading a horse or even riding a horse, can help kids, teens and even adults can help with social, emotional and behavioral issues.

Well, I think this short, but to the point post, does a pretty good job of looking at some of the benefits that equine therapy offers.

Whether mounted or working on the ground, our client learn about how their energy affects the horse, why personal boundaries are important, how to use levels of pressure effectively to achieve results and so much more!

If you or someone you care about is struggle with social, emotional or behavioral issues, we invite you to come out and see what we are all about. We will give you a tour of the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses, learn more about what you are dealing with and share more about how we may be able to help. Call us today to schedule your visit.
