Perspective I think, is something we all struggle with…

My sweetheart likes to say, “you could be bent over in a rice paddy” as a way of reminding me, though I rarely need it, of just how fortunate I am. People dealing with an eating disorder do not see themselves with clear perspective. This visual distortion is caused by many factors, but the results can be catastrophic. I think this article is pretty insightful. Work with horses can help us see things more clearly. They are in the here and now, acutely aware of what is happening. Though they may make snap decision based on the information present, they always go back to check the reality.
