Work with horses helps even prisoners

This is a wonderful program, that helps the wild horses find good homes and helps the prisoners as well.

Do we really want to wait to bring the gifts that horses offer until a troubled person ends up in prison? We offer both individual and small group social, emotional and behavioral work with children, teens, adults and seniors. We would love to show you the ranch, introduce you to our incredible horses and share more about our program with you.

  1. This is what I want to do when I get out of highschool. I cant think of anything better to do than this. How do you suggest that I get started and What classes do you suggest I take in college. What you do is beautiful.

    1. There are several colleges that now offer programs in Equine Therapy. You will want a degree in either education or psychology along with equine studies. For now look at becoming PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horseman) certified and check out EGALA as well. Then, take as many workshops as you can about horse/herd behavior AND spend as much time as you can with horses. Also, check locally to see if there are any programs you can visit.

The best of luck to you!
