PTSD recovery tip of the month…

This article points out that taking action is one step closer to healing the pain of PTSD.

Work with horses can be a great intervention in the process of dealing with PTSD.

PTSD causes changes in the human brain the align it more closely with the brain of a horse – a prey animal.  Through our work with horses we come to recognize out own “prey animal” behaviors, a hyper-sensitivity to various stimulations, a watchfulness and tendency to “fight or flight” when confronted with situations perceived to be dangerous or stressful. This is just one of the components at work in our program for those dealing with PTSD. Call us to schedule a visit – we will show you the ranch, introduce you to the horses and share more about how our program may be able to help.
