That someone you know has Asperger’s. They may just seem a little awkward. But, they may very well be living on the spectrum. This article is short and helpful in explaining what Asperger’s is.
In our work with those on the spectrum, we may focus on appropriate communication, increased awareness of non-verbal cues (especially important, since horses can’t speak!) and strengthening self confidence. Our clients learn about herd/horse behavior, how to be safe around a horse while leading and grooming, how to “play games” with horses and ultimately, if appropriate, how to ride. In the process clients will often bond with “their’ horse.
We would love to show you around the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses and share more with you about how our program may be able to help. Call us to schedule a visit.
