Recently, while working with a client, we had another pretty powerful “ah ha moment” I thought I would share.
The client was working with Mystic in the small arena away from the other 3 horses. Mystic was a bit anxious, fussing about being away from her herd. The client had only worked with Mystic once before. It was really an issue of relationship and trust. If the client had more of an established relationship with Mystic, Mystic would not have been so eager to be with her “buddies”…..hmmm, if as parents, we have a warm and trusting relationship with our kids then maybe they will not be so anxious to go hang out with their buddies…Doncha just love it when you get the chance to point out such a great lesson – all through work with horses!
