Understanding “Stimming” Behaviors

This is a pretty good article about “stimming” (repetitive self-stimulating behaviors typical of children with autism).

The article mentions that engaging kids in alternative, more appropriate and stimulating behaviors can be helpful. I think Equine Assisted Activities qualifies!  In working with our kids on the spectrum, we have found that the horse is an incredible diversion, requiring focus and being in the moment.  Plus, it’s so much fun!

We would love to show you around the ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses and share more with you about how our program works. Call us today to schedule a visit!
