Medication is only part of the solution

As this article points out, medication alone is not an ideal solution for dealing with ADHD.

When working with children and teens who are living with ADHD equine therapy addresses increasing focus, decreasing impulsivity and improving self-esteem.

Whether leading, grooming, working on the ground or
mounted, clients need to focus to achieve their goals.

Horses will worry if a client’s energy it too high, so they are encouraged (and willingly comply) to practice appropriate energy, “You don’t want Baxter to be afraid of you do you?”

And when they are actually able to control themselves and these incredibly powerful animals, a clients self-esteem blossoms.

We invite you to come visit us at our beautiful ranch. We will show you around, introduce you to our wonderful horses and share more with you about how our program may be able to help. Call us today to schedule a visit.
