There is new research that highlight the importance of being a supportive parent. Not only does helping your child learn to cope with the day-to-day stress and uncertainties of the world around them discourage them from having complete meltdowns, but the new evidence shows that you are helping to increase healthy brain development!
I guess that this should not come as a surprise, but being able to point to the research offers hope for so many children who are not getting what they need. Knowing this, can we afford (financially or socially) not to offer parent training and family support to those in need?
If we can offer support and thereby increase a child’s potential, how can we do any less?
Our work with children and teens often includes helping parents and caregivers find strategies for dealing with their children’s/teen’s issues. Even if all we offer is an opportunity to share frustrations and success, this support goes a long way for parents/caregivers living with special needs kids.
We would love to show you around our beautiful ranch, introduce you to our wonderful horses, hear more about your child/teen and share with you how we may be able to help. Call us today to schedule a visit.
