Helping Veterans dealing with PTSD and other mental health issues

This article looks at the lack of mental health professionals who are available to care for the mental health needs of our  current and returning Veterans.

There are many incredible Equine Therapy programs around the world that are now addressing these issue. Here is another great article, that includes a 26 min video and tells about some of the programs out there.

We have said it before and we will say it again, we are ready, willing and able to lend a hand. All we need is the opportunity to make a case with our local (Reno, NV) Veteran’s Affairs/Services people, so that we can work with them to create a program for these most deserving Americans.

I am personally very passionate about this cause – my father died while in the service. My niece’s husband serves in the military and I have a very dear friend (and lifelong horsewoman) who is stationed with the Army in South Korea. We want to do this for all the men and women who have and still are putting their lives on the line for us around the world.

This is our appeal to you: If you know someone or know someone who knows someone who can help us make this happen, please contact us.
