When we think of ADHD we most often think of screaming kids running around driving the adults to the edge of distraction. The fact is that adults can suffer from this issue as well.

This is an area where horses can be very helpful. By understanding how impulsivity and lack of focus can cause a horse to feel uncomfortable, a client can (and most often does)try to curb these behaviors while working with the horses. We may help a client learn and practice self-soothing strategies that they can use when they find themselves feeling ‘out of control’ and we may be working on improving a self-image that may have been damaged by years of negative comments and reactions to their ADHD behaviors.
If you or someone you know struggles with ADHD, there is help available. We would be happy to show you around, introduce you to the horses, learn more about the challenges you face and share how we may be able to help. Call or email us to schedule a visit.
