Girls are more likely to suffer with eating disorders…

This is not a surprise. Our society bombards us, especially young girls, with messages about what is the “desirable” way to look. Research is showing that this is alarmingly true at a young age. We need to provide a different picture, one that focuses on what you are made of (heart/mind) rather that what you look like. Horses don’t care about the color of your hair, how tall you are or any of the other “outward” signs of who you are. Acceptance is one of the lessons they can help us learn…
