What “certification” should your Equine Therapy Program have?

This article talks about the various equine training programs that offer certifications for those providing equine therapy services.

N.E.A.T. embraces the best of all philosophies/training styles! Both founders are NARHA Certified Therapeutic Equine Instructors (CTEI), Laurie Roberts has taken O.K. Corral Seminars from Greg Kersten, Founder of EAGALA. Bambi Spahr has studied the EPONA methods as well. Additionally, Laurie Roberts is a Nevada Medicaid Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA). And we are both big fans of Pat and Linda Parelli.

What this means for our clients, is that we will use the methods and activities that best fit your specific goals and objectives. We offer social, emotional and behavioral interventions for individuals and small groups. We work with kids as young as 4 (if deemed appropriate), teens, adults and even seniors. We not
only help our clients learn all about horses and “horsenality”, they
learn about horse care, how to build a relationship with a horse and when appropriate how to ride.

We would love to show you around our beautiful ranch, introduce you to our incredible equine partners (the horses!) and share more about how our program works. Call us to schedule a visit.
