This article talks about the fact that research shows “that kids with differing abilities, including those with invisible issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADD/ADHD) and learning disabilities, are two to three times more likely to be bullied than their typically developing peers”. This is truly alarming! We need to protect all children, but especially those that are already dealing with so much.
Through work with horses, we help build leadership skills, strengthen (restore) self-esteem, increase focus and decrease impulsive behavior, among other things. All of these things will make a child with ADD/ADHD’s life easier.
