Sometimes we just don’t know what to do

We love them to pieces, but there are times when we just don’t know how to handle our child with ADHD’s unacceptable behaviors!

I found this article on WebMd to be very helpful in setting some guidelines.

When we work with children and teens living with ADHD, through our work with horse we address increasing focus, decreasing impulsivity and often building self esteem.

Horses can be so powerful in teaching these and other lessons. We invite you to come out and visit our beautiful ranch, meet our wonderful horses and learn more about how our program may be able to help.

  1. This is a great site! I have ADHD, and I have a couple of relatives with kids that have ADHD – also a couple with autism. They have all been helped immensely through equine-assisted therapy. Getting out into nature is so important for folks struggling with ADHD. adultswithadd.net has some great links to well-respected resources if anyone is interested in further reading.

    1. Thanks! I try to post things that will be helpful and interesting to people dealing with a wide variety of issues…
