When Being “Healthy” Turns Deadly

DepressionWe all know that we should be thoughtful about what we eat. Limiting our caloric intake and increasing the amount of exercise we get is the a healthiest way to lose weight. But when weight loss becomes an obsession, it can turn life threatening.

This article shares one young woman’s nearly fatal battle with this disease. It also offers insights to odd male teensome of the symptoms and behaviors that may help others in detecting when someone is living with an eating disorder.

We are very proud of the work we do with the Center for Hope of the Sierra’s. They are able to apply the lessons they learn with the horses to the rest of their lives and enjoy the process while gaining insights.
