How Do You Take Care of Yourself?

There are so many demands in our lives today. As employees, partners, parents and friends, we often give, give and give of ourselves, leaving little for taking care of us. We can become overwhelmed and begin to really suffer not only physical, but emotional issues.

Depression is a very real risk when we do not take time to get our needs met. This article by Psychology Today talks about some of the things that can be done to help when you struggle with depression (frankly, I think the things they recommend would benefit all of us!) The bottom line is that they do recommend that you work with your doctor/therapist to make sure that you are getting what you need to find a path to healing. Our program offers lots of the things that are being recommended! From more exercise to stimulating the brains pleasure centers and even Hugs, work with horses can be very helpful.
